A sampling of recent work, and a few favorites ... of course, I have some more photos that I'd like to post but they will have to wait until another day.

This design is inspired by the phrase, 'Mermaid's Tears', a romantic way refer to sea glass. Aqua is a relatively uncommon color of sea glass. It typically comes from old canning jars in a color no longer produced much today, as well as some soda pop bottles.
Cobalt blue is among the rarest of colors for several reasons:
1) gold is used in the manufacture of cobalt blue glass therefore it is an expensive color to produce
2) cobalt blue was used for small medicine bottles and beauty products such as milk of magnesia and Nivea cream
3) not commonly used today, only a handful of wine bottles are produced in this color
4) a favorite color for many sea glass collectors, it is highly coveted and preferentially picked up off the beach
The designs of these pendants showcase the vibrant color.
The pendant on the far right is bonfire glass. It is the result of glass melting under a beach bonfire. Doubly rare to come across a large piece of cobalt blue glass that has been subject to a bonfire.

The tidal zone is where sea glass is often found. This design evokes the frothy sea bubbles that burble across the rocks where the ocean meets the land. It is the action of the waves and the salt water that creates shape and characteristic patina of sea glass.

A class design combining glass pearls, sterling wire and sea glass. An excellent choice for a wedding and those with June birthdays.

I love the modern elegance of this design. The geometry of the Sterling bail sets off the organic shape of the sea glass. A sleek smooth snake chain looks perfect with this piece.
The Ancient Chinese expression, 'Heaven on Earth', is symbolized by the square shape (Earth) within a circle (Heaven). It is a symbol of luck. You may recall lucky Chinese pennies with the square hole in the middle.
This design evokes this symbolism. It references the notion of the endless power of the ocean (Nature) to transform and elevate humankind (waste glass transformed to sea glass).
The piece in this photo is on silver plate. I am currently working up a line in Sterling silver with Bermuda beach glass.

These earrings feature a similar 'Heaven on Earth' design. Just love the geometry. Modern, elegant, timeless.
A word on the green sea glass. This is one of the most available colors as it was produced historically and continues to be used today for wine and beer bottles. It comes in a variety of shades that are similar to gem stones:
- lime green => peridot
- Kelly green => emerald
- muted green => jade
I often have to convince people that it is sea glass they are looking at, not real jade! All that to say, while green is a common color of sea glass, it is also one of the most popular, no doubt because it shares a color scheme with revered gem stones, but also because of its uplifting energy.

The bead used in this design evokes those starry nights.

A design that resonates with many with memories of walking on the beach at dusk. When I go to visit my relatives in Nova Scotia during the summer, I love to walk along the beach in the evening. The full moon is out and so is Venus. I have tried to capture the reflection of the moon and venus sparkling on the ocean with photography, painting and pastels. None of these mediums do my memory justice. This design does. And then there is, of course, the connection with the clear colorless glass typical of the bottles used for moonshine (for those DYI distillers....).

An example of how a set of sea glass jewelry can come together. Wouldn't this be perfect for a wedding? Especially a beach wedding?

Speaking of weddings, how about some cufflinks? And you don't need a special shirt. Make your own French cuffs by converting an existing dress shirt by cutting off the button and sewing in a button hole.
Dressing smart is not just for weddings. Add flair (both ladies and gents!) to your dress shirt for any occasion that merits and jacket.

Love how these are similar to vintage opalescent buttons.

Yes, this amber glass probably came from beer bottles. Can we say groomsmen gifts???
