Set of 4 Note Cards - Nova Scotia and Northern California Sea Glass Collections (includes envelopes)

This listing is for a set of four note cards featuring my collection of sea glass from Nova Scotia, Canada and Northern California, USA.

Each beach has something that makes it special, and so does the sea glass that you are lucky enough to find. I have produced a series of note cards that feature photos are of my collections of sea glass from beaches in Nova Scotia, Canada and Northern California, USA. Each card shows off a selection of sea glass from a beach that gives a snap shot of the types of pieces you're likely to find there.

The note cards are printed on heavy card stock, come with an envelope, and are blank inside. Dimensions: Card: 9 cm x 12.5 cm, 3.5" by 5" Envelope: 9.3 cm x 14 cm, 3 5/8" x 5 1/2" Sold individually or as sets, as noted in each listing.

Description of each card follows.

South Shore, Nova Scotia, Canada Rough rocky shores along the unprotected East coast of the Atlantic Ocean seem to yield dramatic pieces of sea glass and pottery shards. The scenic coastal road is called the Lighthouse Route referencing the many lighthouses that serve to steer ships away from dangerous rocky outcrops. Coupled with tremendous fog, the area is known for shipwrecks. These factors lead to sea glass originating from wrecked ships, smugglers along the cove, as well as historic settlement. Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada Strong tidal action with deep channels produce very smooth pieces of sea glass. Found the most pieces of rare cobalt blue here, as well as a very rare yellow piece. This may be due to the age of the settlement in the area so old, hard to find pieces may still remain. Northern California, USA - Red There are pockets along the coast that have beaches with more sea glass than you can imagine. This is where we've found a few precious rare colors and fused sea glass. This card shows off an intense red piece of sea glass, one of the rarest colors. Item #Notecard-NCAR
